I started taking photography classes with the hope of getting some new knowledge of how to use my camera and how to make those "wow" photos. But I have come to realize that this class has helped me to find my passion.
Everywhere I go, I think about taking pictures. I think about exposure, shutter speed, and all the other things associated. I have wondered around for years trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I "grow up". Little did I know what I have been searching for all these years was sitting in my camera bag waiting on me.
Along with all the other wonderful photographers in the world I have the ability to freeze time, to capture a memory forever. To give people that visual reminder of that moment they never want to forget.
Even though photography is not going to put an end to all the bad things in the world like hate, the war, or any other thing that needs to be changed. It can open the eyes of the viewers to have a real visual of what is going on. You can hear about children starving all day long and feel bad but the thought leaves you when another topic is brought up. But I promise you if you show them a picture of a small child, holding an empty bowl, with all their bones showing. That will be something they will never forget.
For all the people that love photography please think about this, remember that you can give someone a piece of your ability, your visual creativity. Take a thoughtful picture and just give them a copy from the heart not for a chance to make money.
Please take a minute and check out my friends page he is the person that really got me to pick up my camera and really get into photography
